Agritourism

The Ethical Dairy

Agritourism has emerged as a vital contributor to Scotland's rural economy.

By offering visitors unique experiences on working farms, this sector generates additional income for farmers while showcasing the beauty and diversity of the Scottish countryside.

From farm stays and food experiences to outdoor activities, agritourism creates jobs, supports local businesses, and preserves rural heritage. Moreover, it fosters a deeper connection between consumers and the food they eat, promoting sustainable practices and boosting the reputation of Scottish produce.

Working with Go Rural Scotland

Working with Go Rural Scotland (Scottish Agritourism) we are keen to promote, support and help grow the agri-tourism sector in the South of Scotland.

Scottish Agritourism is well represented at our annual conference with the sector lead, regional destination leaders and other agritourism businesses.

The latest monitor farm selected is in the region Ernespie Farm

This spring we did a campaign with Go Rural highlighting all the great on-farm experiences and accommodation options ideal for a spring break, working with the two Destination Leaders.
