Producers of premium arts, crafts, food and drink are being encouraged to apply for a spot at a major new motoring festival taking place at Thirlestane Castle in June.
The inaugural ‘Sir Jackie Stewart Classic – presented by Rolex’ will be one of the largest events of its kind taking place in Scotland in 2022.
Being held in aid of the charity Race Against Dementia, the festival will not only celebrate the career of one of Scotland’s greatest sportsmen but will also showcase the very best produce Scotland has to offer.
“In addition to the award-winning BVAC classic car show, live motorsport action and displays of Sir Jackie Stewart OBE’s most iconic cars and memorabilia, visitors will be able to enjoy some exclusive retail therapy,” explains Edward Maitland Carew of Thirlestane Castle.
“We are looking for high-quality brands to sell at the event both inside our retail marquee, where there will be a selection of 20 traders, and throughout the paddock where there will be a range of different vendors.
“There will be no shortage of choice to keep visitors fuelled at the event, with a range of artisan food and drink vendors all around the show site offering a great variety of street food.
“The ‘Taste of Scotland’ food & drink village will feature over 30 producers showcasing Scotland’s finest provenance, meaning guests will not be short of treats on the day or for the journey home.”
“The ‘Makers & Creators of Scotland’ section will showcase the work of some of the finest arts and crafts men and women, with 30 displays of everything from paintings to pottery.
“Throughout the event the accent will be firmly on spotlighting a superb range of products and talent in the Borders and across Scotland.”
Applications are now open and interested parties can simply log on to www.sirjackiestewartclassic.com/exhibit and submit their details to be in with a chance of securing a spot.
The deadline for applications is Monday the 14th of March, and all successful applicants will be notified by no later than the 31st March.
