The Enduro World Series mountain bike race and festival is set to return to the Scottish Borders from the 2nd – 5th June this year. The event, which brought 15,000 visitors to Innerleithen in October 2021, will bring international elite athletes, teams, top cycling brands and spectators to the town for an even bigger weekend of racing, entertainment, live music, local food, kids events, ride outs, film nights and more.
Event Director, Emma Wadee, says, “We can’t wait to bring EWS back to Innerleithen this summer. Our aim is to build on last year’s success to make EWS Tweed Valley one of Scotland’s best international events that celebrates the region and local community, as well as attracting visitors from around the world.”
Businesses and residents will receive communications about the event in the coming weeks, including residents letters and business packs and a planned Town Hall event on Thursday 14th April in the Union Club.
Enduro Sports Organisation (ESO), the organisers behind the EWS are set to open their global headquarters in Innerleithen later this year, after an extensive renovation of a property on Chapel Street in the town. From here, their growing team will coordinate the global race series, which has mountain bike events in over 70 countries.
