South of Scotland Tourism Data Survey

Our Tourism Data Survey is about understanding what businesses want

As part of the South of Scotland Responsible Tourism Strategy, the SSDA, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Scottish Borders Council, SOSE and Visit Scotland are keen to better understand exactly what visitor economy data local businesses want.

We invite businesses to take a moment this August to COMPLETE THIS SHORT SURVEY to help us understand where best to invest funds to give visitor economy businesses the data they need to succeed.

We are most interested in securing regular, reliable, fit for purpose data which will actually inform real-world decisions made by businesses. We also recognise we have a role in supporting businesses to access and interpret this data.

Have your say to ensure we develop the right data-support for your business.

The survey will close on 6th September

If you want to discuss this, or you have any issues with this survey, please contact David Hope-Jones

The SSDA already shares with its members various sources of data on this webpage.  We will shortly be publishing the latest STEAM data (for 2023) and are keen to commission further data systems but want to focus our time, energy and budget on data that is most useful for businesses.
